Layered up for one of the colder days last week.  Didn't wear these boots out because they're broken, but I wanted to mix things up..

I dug this cash print spandex out of my closet and brought it to school today to make a dress out of.. you may recall the bodysuit I made out of it, as well.  I also got around to finishing a bunch of things over the weekend, but these two jackets aren't in my show so they are the ones I can share.  The bi color green jacket was a bitch to make and wound up a little shoddy in the end.  I shared the floral one last November, but I just got snaps put in it and some other jackets so here it is again.

edit:  made two more of the cash print dresses so if anyone wants to buy one let me know - they fit a 34-36" chest and 34-38" hip.

SOOOO I really didn't want to share anything from my collection until after the show, but I can't help myself so I'm giving you a sneak peek.  Over winter break I created a yuri/generic anime babes collage to be printed on fabric which I wound up using for these long sleeve and asymmetric tank crop tops.  There's also a mini skirt I'm making, but you get the idea.  I may have some time to make and sell some so email me (purple.kicks@gmail.com) if you're curious about that.

Oh, and since I've already published it I may as well mention that I will be revising the collage that was my moodboard (HERE) to be printed and made into a dress because the tentacle rape image that is my header is the most epic image ever and obviously demands to be worn with lavender faux fur.

Wore these docs more than any other shoe this past fall and winter.  I'm not going to be a happy camper when it starts getting warmer out..

I've been documenting the progress I've been making on my senior collection, but of course, I'm only at liberty to share bits and pieces right now.  The window decals (Magical Doremi) and candy hearts are vestiges of a romance that apparently only exists inside my own head.. the rest is crap I'm working with.

Senior year sucks because..
  1. You're expected to have at least $1,000 to spend on your collection and being frugal in any way can only imply how little you care
  2. You have $0 to spend on yourself (see above)
  3. No matter how much time you spend working (8-14 hours a day, not including classes) it's never enough
  4. You have no time for sexy time (see above)
  5. Teachers think you have nothing better to do than make samples for them because they can't visualize the sample you have in the color/fabric you're going to make it in later
  6. Teachers think your senior collection is the absolute most important moment of your life so if for even a second you express in anyway that you just don't care about their feedback they flip out
  7. Teachers assume you want their feedback
  8. Your peers are generally pissed off and taking it out on eachother
  9. The fit model thinks her opinion is relevant and suggests your garment is too short, too tight or needs an unnecessary, time consuming extra detail
Btw Jeremy Scott Fall 2012 is amaaazing, and my collection is definitely one giant application to work for him.

Been wearing this coat everyday that it's been in the 30s or below.. complete lifesaver.

Since beginning my senior collection I have spent zero dollars on myself with the sole exception of this necklace which I had to have.  Glow in the dark aliens..  had to have.  Sam made a really cute envelope for it out of paper she printed, too.

I never know what to say.. always easier to listen.

Last week I duplicated an outfit one of my friends wore a few days prior.. she just bought the same pair of creepers as me and was wearing track pants with a floral shirt, too.  She wore it all with a fur coat, I wore it on a warmer day so I didn't need so much on top..

"Androgynous Pratt student documents his outfits that run the gamut from everyday college kid to flamboyant club kid. Anyone who throws on a pair of Balenciaga platforms or 9" fetish stilettos to cheer himself up is pretty awesome and entertaining in our opinion!"

"Dressing up is what William loves to do most. This young designer from New York doesn’t dress for fashion but just to have fun and enjoy himself like the big kid that he is. Both adorned as a man and woman, his blog isn’t your common “check-out-my-outfit” type blog. It’s a journey into NYC’s crazy nightlife with party outfits straight from the young creative/transvestite scene. Juggling Timberland homemade platforms, tie-dye t-shirts, camo baggy trousers and an orange furry jacket, his looks are absolutely bonkers-awesom, leaving us wanting more everytime. We strongly recommend that you check out his collection too . Made from Japanese anime babe-printed fabric, it’s pretty darn cool."

"I strongly believe in the comeback of Manga and will further explore its use in contemporary art and fashion. Most probably, 'sexualization' will become a core motif. In the first instance, I'd like to draw your attention to the reanimation of Anime by Dripping Lazers."
