MORE photobooth from the day I got my hair done --- I decided fresh hair deserved a few drinks so I went out.  No better time to wear some kooky macrame necklaces I made, too, right?  I did a quick face that night which I was too drunk/lazy to take off when I was going to sleep so I threw my du rag on and crashed.

The next day I was browsing a second hand store and found these Sergio Rossi wedges for an absurd price.  They are my size and soooo cute, but not really my style so I'm selling them on ebay.  My love affair with oversize sweaters continued, as well, but I'm trying to only buy season appropriate clothing right now so I passed on them.

I've been growing my hair out for awhile now, and since it got especially unmanageable this week I decided I'd get it braided.  I'm not sure if it would have been easier or harder to find a place that does braids in Brooklyn opposed to Washington Heights where I am now - I had to stop in three salons/barber shops before I found a place that did braids.  Somehow when I got home two bands snapped off the tails in the back so I ran to my beauty supply to get some.. and also grabbed a baby pink du rag.  Cute right?  Trade bottom wassup.  Anyway, I had been wanting to get braids forever, and I'm sooooo happy I finally did it.  Love them.

Also got these platform sneakers today!  They are the same ones that my friend Elizabeth has that I tried on a month or so ago HERE.  The extra images are Hindu gods:  Ardhanarishvara (Shiva and Parvati) in the first two images, which I've been reading about a little since he/she has such a compelling image and concept, and also Krishna.

Right now I have two pieces I can sell!

Asymmetric, printed jersey cropped tank top - $130
Fit's a 34-37" chest

Printed twill mini skirt with hair - $250
Fit's approximately a 25/26" waist and 36" hips

Solestruck just got in some classic Buffalo platform sneakers.  Unfortunately, the tall black and white ones are only available in men's sizes.

I hung out at Eva for several hours today.  I worked there last summer and on/off again over the past year, and since I'm currently unemployed I have the luxury of being able to simply hang out with the new sales associate Michael.  Today I tried on a few sweaters.. a multicolor one by Henrik Vibskov (perfect), a grey one by fixXxed, and one of Daniel Palilo's hoodies.

The fluorescent yellow necklace I'm wearing I made with utility cord from Home Depot for $5.  Ten years ago I was making macrame necklaces with hemp and wooden beads.. now I'm exploring my options with more exciting materials.

"Androgynous Pratt student documents his outfits that run the gamut from everyday college kid to flamboyant club kid. Anyone who throws on a pair of Balenciaga platforms or 9" fetish stilettos to cheer himself up is pretty awesome and entertaining in our opinion!"

"Dressing up is what William loves to do most. This young designer from New York doesn’t dress for fashion but just to have fun and enjoy himself like the big kid that he is. Both adorned as a man and woman, his blog isn’t your common “check-out-my-outfit” type blog. It’s a journey into NYC’s crazy nightlife with party outfits straight from the young creative/transvestite scene. Juggling Timberland homemade platforms, tie-dye t-shirts, camo baggy trousers and an orange furry jacket, his looks are absolutely bonkers-awesom, leaving us wanting more everytime. We strongly recommend that you check out his collection too . Made from Japanese anime babe-printed fabric, it’s pretty darn cool."

"I strongly believe in the comeback of Manga and will further explore its use in contemporary art and fashion. Most probably, 'sexualization' will become a core motif. In the first instance, I'd like to draw your attention to the reanimation of Anime by Dripping Lazers."
